Chocolate and Orange Cake

You will need:
125g plain flour
3tbsp cocoa powder
a pinch of salt
175g butter or margarine
200g caster sugar
3 eggs
15 drops of Foodie Flavouring Orange


For the icing:
2 or 3 tbsp orange juice
50g icing sugar sieved

Method

Greece a loaf tin. Line with non-stick baking parchment. Set the oven to 180 degrees C, reduce temperature for fan oven.

Cream the butter or margarine with the sugar until fluffy. Beat in the eggs a little at a time, adding some of the flour if they begin to curdle. Add the rest of the flour and cocoa, baking powder and salt. Try adding about 12 drops of Orange Foodie Flavouring to the cake mix and mix really well.

Put the mixture into the tin and bake for approx 50 mins until cooked. While the cake is cooking, mix the orange juice and icing sugar together ready to spoon over the cake as soon as it comes out of the oven.
