How To Flavour Water
Still or sparkling water can be flavoured by adding just a little natural flavouring and a sweetener. Add a hint of strawberry, raspberry or apple to water for a refreshing drink.
Our flavours are suitable for vegans and vegetarians and contain no added sugar, ideal for health drinks.
We have a wide variety of flavours available to buy online now, in sizes from 15ml to 1 litre. Great for NPD, small run production or flavouring drinks at home.
Using flavours in water.
Types of flavouring for water
Water soluble flavours are required, these would be on a carrier of ethanol or propylene glycol.
Please note oils and fat compatible flavours will float rather than dilute into the water, therefore these are not suitable .
How to add the flavour
Flavour can be added by the drop into a bottle or glass of water. Stir or shake to disperse the flavour. Bear in mind these flavours do not contain sugar of any significance, therefore you may need to sweeten the water to bring out the correct taste.
How much flavouring to use
We recommend trying 0.5ml to 1.0ml (about 10 – 20 drops) per litre of water and adjust to taste. Take note of any maximum use limits indicated on the label.
